Officials from Indonesia and Kazakhstan met on 1 February 2024 to discuss bilateral cooperation and reportedly agreed to finalize negotiations for an income tax treaty. Any resulting treaty would be the first of its kind between the two countries and must be finalized, signed, and ratified before entering into force.
