Ireland's Tax Treaty Policy Statement Published Including General Priorities and a Specific Policy Approach for Least Developed Countries

Ireland's Department of Finance has announced the publication of a Tax Treaty Policy Statement on 27 June 2022. The policy statement includes three main priorities for the expansion and enhancement of Ireland's tax treaty network:

Ireland already has Double Tax Agreements with 16 countries that are members of the G20. Given the economic importance and geographical reach of these jurisdictions, it is an important objective to have double tax agreements with all G20 members.
