Irish Revenue has issued eBrief No. 229/2025, announcing the launch of a joint consultation with the Department of Finance on a new eWithholding Tax (eWHT), which is meant to improve withholding tax for individuals subject to Professional Services Withholding Tax (PSWT) and Relevant Contracts Tax (RCT), and expand withholding tax to the platform economy. The deadline for comments is 30 January 2026.
