Italy Confirms Implementation of Administrative Handling Fee for Low Value Imports in Addition to Interim EU Customs Duty

Italy's Finance Minister, Giancarlo Giorgetti, has confirmed that the administrative handling fee of EUR 2 on low value imports below EUR 150 will be implemented starting 1 October 2026. As previously reported, implementation of the fee was initially postponed to 1 July 2026, and was subsequently postponed to 1 October 2026.
