Italy issues implementing rules for automated VAT assessment on omitted returns

On August 28, 2026, the Italian Revenue Agency (Agenzia delle Entrate, AdE) issued implementing rules for the automated VAT assessment procedure (liquidazione) that applies to omitted annual VAT returns.
