According to a recent release from the Vietnam News Agency, officials from the Ivory Coast and Vietnam met during an official visit from 9 to 12 July 2025. During the meeting, the two sides agreed to accelerate negotiations for an income tax treaty, which has been under negotiation since 2019. Any resulting treaty will be the first of its kind between the two countries and must be finalized, signed, and ratified before entering into force.
