Tax Administration Jamaica (TAJ) recently issued a reminder confirming that the annual income tax threshold was increased from JMD 1,799,376 to JMD 1,902,360 from 1 April 2026. Considering that income tax is calculated on a calendar year basis, the applicable threshold for 2026 is JMD 1,876,614, with the prior and current threshold prorated for 3 months and 9 months, respectively (JMD 449,844 + JMD 1,426,770).
