Japan and Mongolia Looking to Conclude Tax Treaty

According to a recent release from Japan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, officials from Japan and Mongolia met on 3 September 2026 and agreed on further advancing discussions toward the conclusion of an income tax treaty. Any resulting treaty would be the first of its kind between the two jurisdictions and must be finalized, signed, and ratified before entering into force.
