During its meeting on 16 July 2025, Jordan's Council of Ministers authorized the signing of an income tax treaty with Hong Kong. The two sides completed the first round of negotiations for the treaty in May 2023. The treaty will be the first of its kind between the jurisdictions and must be signed and ratified before entering into force.
