According to a release from Kyrgyzstan's Ministry of Economy and Commerce, officials from Kyrgyzstan and Romania concluded the final round of negotiations for an income tax treaty on 26 February 2026, agreeing in principle on the final text. The treaty will be the first of its kind between the two countries and must be signed and ratified before entering into force.
