Latvia's Prime Minister has recently authorized the Minister of Finance to sign an income tax treaty with Kosovo and an amending protocol to the 1997 income and capital tax treaty with Germany. The treaty with Kosovo was initialed on 30 November 2018 and will be the first of its kind between the two countries. The amending protocol to the tax treaty with Germany was initialed on 18 June 2018 and will be the first to amend the treaty.
