According to a release from the Liechtenstein government, officials from Liechtenstein and New Zealand met for bilateral talks on 18 November 2025, which included discussions on the possible negotiation and signing of an income tax treaty. Any resulting treaty would be the first of its kind between the two countries and must be finalized, signed, and ratified before entering into force.
