Lithuania to Extend Tonnage Tax Regime through 2036

The Lithuanian parliament (Seimas) is considering a draft bill that would extend the tonnage tax (fixed profit tax) regime for shipping until 31 December 2036. The draft also provides that restrictions on bareboat charter-out arrangements would not apply to transactions within the same group. As drafted, the measures would apply from 1 January 2027.
