The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) is the latest jurisdiction to follow in the footsteps of an increasing number of countries to mandate countrywide electronic invoicing.

 

The General Authority of Zakat and Tax (GAZT) stated on 4 December 2020 that the electronic invoicing regulation has entered into force and e-invoicing will become mandatory in the Kingdom starting 4 December 2021.
