Officials from Mauritius and Uganda have reportedly concluded negotiations for an amending protocol to the 2003 tax treaty between the two countries, including changes in relation to the taxation of hydrocarbon-based transactions. The protocol will be the first to amend the treaty and must be signed and ratified before entering into force.
