The Moldovan parliament is considering a draft law submitted on 23 March 2022 that would introduce VAT zero-rating for supplies of gasoline and diesel fuel, which are currently subject to VAT and the standard 20% rate. The law would also reduce excise duties on gasoline and diesel fuel by 50% and provide for a reduction in the VAT rate on natural and liquefied gas from 8% to 4%.
