According to a release from Moldova's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, officials from Moldova and Ireland met on 4 December 2021 for discussions including Moldova's interest in the negotiation of a social security agreement. Any resulting agreement would be the first of its kind between the two countries and must be finalized, signed, and ratified before entering into force.
