The Government of Montenegro has submitted a draft bill that provides for the introduction of a withholding tax on cash withdrawals. The proposed withholding tax would be withheld by banks at a rate of 5% on cash withdrawals from business accounts of legal entities and individual entrepreneurs. If approved, the withholding tax is to apply from 1 June 2022.
