On 26 September 2024, the parliament of Montenegro signed the introduction of a reduced VAT rate of 15% into law. This entails some products and services to be taxed at 15% instead of 7% VAT. The changes are expected to come into force from 1 January 2025.
Products and services taxed at the new VAT rate of 15% include:
- Books;
- Hotels and accommodation services;
