New Zealand has published the Taxation (Budget Measures) Act 2024, which received royal assent (was enacted) on 4 June 2024. As previously reported, the main measures are focused on tax relief for individuals, including an increase in the first three individual income tax bracket thresholds, resulting in the following brackets/rates from 31 July 2024:
- up to NZD 15,600 - 10.5%
- NZD 15,601 to 53,500 - 17.5%
- NZD 53,501 to 78,100 - 30.0%
- NZD 78,101 to 180,000 - 33.0%
