On 26 March 2018, Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari signed the instrument for the ratification of the pending income and capital tax treaty with Singapore. The treaty, signed 2 August 2017 ({News-2017-08-07/T/2-previous coverage}), is the first of its kind between the two countries and will enter into force 90 days after the ratification instruments are exchanged.
