Panama's Ministry of Economy and Finance has announced the approval of Bill No. 78 by the National Assembly on 26 September 2019, which introduces a general tax amnesty for outstanding taxes, fees, and other contributions owed to the General Directorate of Revenue as of 30 June 2019.
The amnesty provides relief from interest, surcharges, and fines to varying degrees based on when full payment is made of outstanding taxes due as follows:
