On 17 July 2026, the Polish Sejm (lower house of parliament) approved the government bill for the ratification of the pending social security agreement with Albania. The agreement, signed 24 February 2026, is the first of its kind between the two countries and will enter into force on the first day of the sixth month after the ratification instruments are exchanged.
