Protocol to Tax Treaty Between India and Sri Lanka has Entered into Force

India's Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) has issued Notification No. 88/2026 of 16 July 2026, announcing the entry into force of the amending protocol to the 2013 income tax treaty with Sri Lanka on 19 June 2026. The protocol, signed 16 December 2024, is the first to amend the treaty and includes the following changes:
