On 27 September 2023, Romanian President Klaus Iohannis promulgated the law for the ratification of the pending social security agreement with Montenegro. The agreement, signed 22 July 2022, is the first of its kind between the two countries and will enter into force on the first day of the third month after the ratification instruments are exchanged.
