Officials from Romania and Sri Lanka met on 26 February 2024 to discuss bilateral relations, including the signing of a new income tax treaty. The treaty would need to be finalized, signed, and ratified before entering into force and, once in force and effective, would replace the 1984 tax treaty between the two countries.
