On 10 December 2020, the Russian government approved for ratification the pending protocol to the 1993 income and capital tax treaty with Luxembourg. The protocol, signed 6 November 2020, is the second to amend the treaty and will enter into force once the ratification instruments are exchanged and will apply from 1 January of the year following its entry into force.
