Russia Confirms Suspension of Tax Treaty by Finland

Russia's Ministry of Finance published a notice on 26 March 2026 confirming that Finland has notified Russia of its suspension of the 1996 tax treaty between the two countries, effective 1 July 2026. Russia has suspended the application of certain provisions of the tax treaty since August 2023, while Finland has continued to apply the treaty provisions unilaterally.
