Russia published Law No. 259-FZ in the Official Gazette on 8 August 2024. Among other things, the law extends the late payment interest penalty reduction that previously expired on 31 December 2023. Under the standard rules, the interest penalty is equal to 1/300 of the Central Bank key interest rate per day of delay where the delay does not exceed 30 calendar days.
