On 28 July 2018, the Russian parliament approved Bill No. 489169-7. The bill includes an increase in the standard value added tax (VAT) rate from 18% to 20% effective 1 January 2019, with the rate for foreign e-service providers increased accordingly from 15.25% to 16.67%, which is an estimated rate assuming VAT-inclusive fees.
