According to a release from Senegal's Ministry of Labor and Employment, officials from Belgium and Senegal began the first round of negotiations for a social security agreement on 1 July 2025. Any resulting agreement will be the first of its kind between the two countries and must be finalized, signed, and ratified before entering into force.
