Portugal has published Notice No. 44/2023 in the Official Gazette, announcing that the social security agreement with Timor-Leste entered into force on 9 October 2023. The agreement, signed 28 June 2022, is the first of its kind between the two countries and generally applies from the date of its entry into force.
