According to a recent update from Uruguay's Social Welfare Bank (Banco de Previsión Social), the social security agreement between Romania and Uruguay entered into force on 1 January 2022. The agreement, signed 13 September 2017, is the first of its kind between the two countries and generally applies from the date of its entry into force.
