On 2 May 2023, The Saudi Zakat, Tax, and Customs Authority (ZATCA) issued a release urging taxpayers to take advantage of the penalty exemption initiative that ends on 31 May 2023. As previously reported, the initiative that was first introduced in response to the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 and was later relaunched and subsequently extended in 2022.
