Tax treaties between Hong Kong and several other jurisdiction will go into effect on April 1st 2014. The jurisdictions include Canada, Jersey, Kuwait, Mexico, and Qatar. The withholding rates for each are as follows:

Canada

• Dividends - 5% when paid to a company that holds at least 10% of the paying company's capital, otherwise 15%
• Interest - 10%
• Royalties - 10%
