Slovak Republic Consulting on Tax Treaty with Rwanda

The Slovak Republic has launched a public consultation on a draft income tax treaty with Rwanda. The draft treaty is in line with OECD BEPS standards and provides for a general withholding tax rate of 10% for dividends, interest, royalties, and fees for technical services. It will be the first of its kind between the two countries and must be finalized, signed, and ratified before entering into force. The deadline for comments is 20 August 2026.
