According to a release from the Slovak Republic's Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, officials from the Slovak Republic and Thailand met on 21 November 2025 to discuss the strengthening of bilateral relations, including through the conclusion of an income tax treaty. Any resulting treaty would be the first of its kind between the two countries and must be finalized, signed, and ratified before entering into force.
