On 20 February 2019, the South African Minister of Finance presented the Budget for 2019 in parliament. Some of the main aspects of the Budget are summarized as follows:
- Carbon tax will be introduced, as from 1 June 2019, at the rate of SAR 120 per ton of carbon dioxide equivalent,
