According to recent reports, officials from Ecuador and the U.S. met on 4 November 2014 to discuss the possibility of entering into negotiations for a tax information exchange agreement. Any resulting agreement would be the first of its kind between the two countries, and must be finalized, signed and ratified before entering into force.
