Tanzania's Minister of Finance, Philip Mpango, presented the Budget for 2020/21 to the National Assembly on 11 June 2020. Measures of the budget include the following:
- The minimum threshold of employment income not liable to tax is increased from TZS 170,000 per month to TZS 270,000 per month (which is equivalent to TZS 2,040,000 per annum to TZS 3,420,000 per annum), with the annual income tax brackets adjusted accordingly as follows:
