On 27 and 28 November 2025, Luxembourg published notices that the income and capital tax treaty with Albania and the amending protocol entered into force on 25 June 2025. The treaty, signed on 14 January 2009, is the first of its kind between the two countries. The protocol, signed 21 October 2020, brings the treaty in line with minimum BEPS standards and the standards for information exchange.
