The Government of Hong Kong has announced that officials from Barbados and Hong Kong met on 19 March 2026 and signed an income tax treaty. The treaty is the first of its kind between the two jurisdictions.

The treaty covers Barbados income tax, corporation tax, petroleum winning operations tax, and offshore petroleum income tax. It covers Hong Kong profits tax, salaries tax, and property tax.
