According to recent reports, officials from Cyprus and Egypt met on 11 September 2018 to discuss bilateral relations, including the negotiation of revisions to the 1993 tax treaty between the two countries. Any resulting revisions would be the first to the treaty, and must be finalized, signed, and ratified before entering into force.
