Tax Treaty between El Salvador and the UAE Signed

On 26 September 2026, the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a release announcing, among other things, that officials from El Salvador and the UAE signed an income tax treaty on the sidelines of the 81st Session of the UN General Assembly. The treaty is the first of its kind between the two countries and will enter into force after the ratification instruments are exchanged. Details of the treaty will be published once available.
