Japan's Ministry of Finance has announced the signing of an income tax treaty with Greece on 1 November 2023. The treaty is the first of its kind between the two countries.

The treaty covers Greek income tax on natural persons and income tax on legal persons and legal entities. It covers Japanese income tax, corporation tax, special income tax for reconstruction, local corporation tax, and local inhabitants tax.
