Japan's Ministry of Finance has announced that the income tax treaty with Uzbekistan will enter into force on 17 October 2020. The treaty, signed 19 December 2019, replaces the 1986 tax treaty between Japan and the former Soviet Union as it applies in respect of Japan and Uzbekistan.
