On 5 September 2020, the Ukraine Ministry of Finance announced an official working visit to Switzerland, during which officials from Ukraine and Liechtenstein met to discuss the negotiation of an income tax treaty that is planned to begin in November. Any resulting treaty would be the first of its kind between the two countries and must be finalized, signed, and ratified before entering into force.
