According to a release from the Uzbek Ministry of Foreign Affairs, officials from Qatar and Uzbekistan met 17 to 18 February 2019 to discuss various aspects of bilateral cooperation and agreed to develop and sign an income tax treaty. Any resulting treaty would be the first of its kind between the two countries and must be finalized, signed, and ratified before entering into force.
