Officials from Rwanda and Vietnam began the first round of negotiations for an income tax treaty at the headquarters of the Vietnam Tax Department on 16 March 2026. Any resulting treaty would be the first of its kind between the two countries and must be finalized, signed, and ratified before entering into force.
