According to a release from Uzbekistan's Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade, officials from Serbia and Uzbekistan on 30 August 2021 bilateral cooperation and agreed to begin negotiations for an income tax treaty. Any resulting treaty would be the first of its kind between the two countries and must be finalized, signed, and ratified before entering into force.
